PERRYSVILLE, Ind. (CNS) — Leonard F. Hines, 74, of Perrysville, died at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 15, 1972) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient three days and had suffered a stroke Dec. 28, 1971. Arrangements are pending at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington.  --typed by Walt W

PERRYSVILLE, Ind. (CNS ) --Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington for Leonard F. "Butch" Hines, 74, a resident of the Gessie and Perrysville areas most of his life. He died at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 15, 1972) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had been a patient three days. The Rev. Dale Cadman will officiate. Burial will be in the Niccum Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Born Sept. 2, 1897, near Gessie, he was the son of McKnight and Alta Anderson Hines. He was married July 24, 1935, to Edith Jane Dare, who survives. Mr. Hines was a retired iron worker and also had resided in East Chicago for a few years. He was a member of Local 395 International Iron Workers of America at Hammond, Camp 9601 Royal Neighbors of Perrysville, Odd Fellows Lodge 69, Marsh Encampment 46 and Canton 1, all of Danville. Survivors include a son, Raymond G. of Long Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Miss Betty Hines of Fort Wayne; a step daughter, Mrs. Lela Mellinger of Veedersburg Route 2; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
